Brian E. Peierls and E. Jeffrey Peierls, Nos. 11/12/13, 2013 (Del. 2013)

In these important Delaware trust appeals, the Court of Chancery dismissed petitions to modify certain out-of-state trusts in which all beneficiaries consented.   When the petitioners appealed, the Supreme Court sua sponte appointed C.J. Seitz as amicus curiae to defend the Court of Chancery's decisions because the petitions were not contested.  Following briefing and argument, the Supreme Court affirmed on a substantial majority of the issues raised in the appeal.
